Product Manager – Remote
Our client is a values-driven organisation dedicated to improving urban governance and public-sector capability through data, digital tools, and technology-enabled solutions. They are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead advisory work and manage the delivery of impactful digital and data products across multiple public-sector use cases.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys operating at a strategic and advisory level, bridging the gap between government stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery partners.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and delivery of digital and data governance products, toolkits, and advisory services
Advise public-sector clients on technology stacks, data pipelines, and institutional arrangements
Translate strategic use-case requirements into clear technical specifications and delivery plans
Manage product timelines, budgets, and contractual deliverables
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and user research to inform strategy
Act as the primary liaison between partners and internal teams
Ensure data governance, compliance, and security best practices
Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the impact of digital and data solutions
Provide performance and impact data for reporting purposes
Contribute to a strong, values-driven organisational culture and continuously develop professional capability
Qualifications
Degree in Business Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
OR equivalent practical experience
Additional qualifications or experience in public policy, governance, development studies, urban planning, or international relations are advantageous
Relevant certifications such as CSPO, CDMP, or similar are beneficial
Skills & Technical Expertise
Strong product management capability across multiple concurrent use cases
Ability to assess organisational digital and data maturity and guide improvement
Solid understanding of digital and data architecture, including open-source technologies, APIs, data modelling, and ETL processes
Knowledge of data governance frameworks, compliance, and security standards
Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
Strong project management, budgeting, and organisational skills
Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate insights into actionable strategies
Business acumen with an understanding of public-sector and NPO environments
Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering digital products and advisory services
Proven track record in launching and managing digital and data strategies
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Experience working with or within the public sector
Above all, a strong passion and expertise in public-sector digital transformation
This is a fully remote role and is a 4 day work week.
