Operating across borders, the organisation ensures sustainable, accountable use of donor funds while upholding the highest standards of financial governance. The Financial Manager (FM) will provide strategic leadership and hands-on financial management across the organisation. Reporting to the CEO, the FM will oversee all aspects of financial operations including planning, forecasting, reporting, and compliance. The role plays a key part in sustaining financial health, ensuring donor accountability, and enabling strong governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and bookkeeping.
Ensure full compliance with donor requirements, regulatory frameworks, and internal controls.
Manage financial aspects of grants and contracts, including risk mitigation and donor reporting.
Produce timely, accurate financial reports for funders in line with grant agreements.
Supervise an administrative staff member responsible for organisational support tasks.
Provide strategic financial insights to the leadership team to inform decision-making.
Oversee payroll, reconciliations, and financial documentation to meet audit standards.
Improve and maintain financial systems and tools for scalability and resilience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategy with programme goals.
Serve as point of contact for auditors, funders, and regulatory agencies.
Promote financial literacy and ownership throughout the organisation.
Candidate Profile
Experience (3–5 years minimum):
Strong background in financial management, accounting, or bookkeeping—ideally within nonprofit or donor-funded environments.
Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and multi-project financial reporting.
Proficiency in payroll, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance.
Involvement in contract oversight and procurement finance.
Audit-ready record keeping and familiarity with internal control systems.
Exposure to risk management and compliance processes.
