Role Overview

Our client is seeking a professional cloud engineer with experience in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. This role will be responsible for supporting the functioning of their Cloud Managed Service, including tasks across cloud architecture, operations, security, compliance, and workload migration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Cloud Architecture:

 

Develop multi-cloud architecture designs.

 

Create all necessary architectural artifacts to support a multi-cloud environment.

 

Ensure secure, scalable, and optimized cloud solutions.

 

Cloud Operations:

 

Oversee day-to-day management of cloud environments.

 

Improve operational efficiency and service availability.

 

Support data management processes across platforms.

 

Cloud Security, Risk & Compliance:

 

Identify and implement cloud security strategies.

 

Ensure compliance with governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

 

Platform Services:

 

Manage private cloud environments and hyperscaler platforms (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS).

 

Provide expertise in configuring applications in the Cloud Management Platform (CMP) tool post-migration.

 

Workload Migration & Optimization:

 

Refine existing Application Assessments and determine optimal deployment and migration strategies.

 

Assess hyperscaler suitability based on workload requirements.

 

Assist with cloud workload migration as needed.

 

Cloud Management Tool Implementation:

 

Assist in implementing SaaS-based cloud management tool(s) for governance, lifecycle management, brokering, and automation.

 

Develop architectural designs and oversee integration.

 

Support monitoring and managing the hybrid multi-cloud environment.

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

 

Relevant cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP).

 

Proven experience in multi-cloud environments.

 

Knowledge of hybrid IT architecture, workload migration, and cloud governance frameworks.

 

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and performance bottlenecks.

 

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.
